Today I will show you how to Install macOS 11 Big Sur on an Unsupported Mac. To be clear this guide shows you how to install Mac OS Big Sur, it is up to you to backup your data first and use Big Sur at your own risk, I am not responsible for any loss of data etc…For me as you can see I installed Big Sur and it worked for me, however due to unforeseen circumstances I can’t help with all install steps if it doesn’t work out for you. I also can’t support or guide you on the use of additional Apps you may install like for example Office (word, powerpoint, excel), Final Cut Pro, Photoshop etc… they may work – they may not. Then, your Mac will quickly turn off, so turn it back on while, again, holding down Option/Alt. Then, select Install macOS Big Sur Beta. Once the installer boots, select reinstall macOS and agree to the Terms and Conditions. Then, select the drive you want to install Big Sur onto, (it should be the same drive you ran the patcher on). If you prefer to select Mac OS Extended (Journaled), you won't get any system updates. APFS will work on the End 2009 models and later as with High Sierra. If your device doesn't support originally High Sierra (and therefore isn't able do start with APFS), you won't have any recovery partitions and the reboot display will be different.
If upgrading from macOS Sierra or later, macOS Big Sur requires 35.5GB of available storage to upgrade. If upgrading from an earlier release, macOS Big Sur requires up to 44.5GB of available storage.
